Instructions for attendees
- We’re meeting on Zoom. You will receive the link through Eventbrite a few days before the event. Close to showtime and you didn’t receive the link? Send us an email and we’ll get you hooked up.
- Since we can’t be inside the Hippodrome this year, we can certainly pretend. We’ve got a folder full of background options so you can put yourself in your favorite place. First time at frank? The Main Stage sessions are held in the Hippodrome, so maybe start with some of those photos. The Bull, Wyatts and Volta are our traditional coffee shop breakout spaces. - We’ll be going into breakout rooms for the networking session. The rooms are organized by topic. You can move yourself from room to room when you want and depending on the topic you want to discuss. These rooms will not be moderated and officially led but we’ll have a few prompts to help keep the conversation flowing. We hope this gives you a chance to meet up with people that care about the same issues you do and find out what work has been or is going on. Make sure you have the most up-to-date version of Zoom (Ver. 5.3 of higher) so you can move yourself around the different rooms. Not sure how to move around from room to room once you’re in the breakout session? Here are more instructions (start video at 1.50)
- Happy hour will be hosted on Kumospace (kumospace.com). You can go in and out of different rooms, sit down on a couch, dangle your feet in the pool and even pour yourself a drink. As you move around the room, you’ll only hear people who are within your radius, which is a ghost circle around your video. You can read up on how to use the platform, but it’s pretty easy. Jump in, move around the room with your arrow keys and head to the Exit sign if you want to move into a different room. We’ll have five rooms for you to choose from. We’ll send you the link to join in the email along with the Zoom link, plus we’ll drop it in the Chat when the time comes.
